When it comes to Green Building, you have to
separate fact from fiction.

AC Lynn Luxury Homes is a Certified Green Builder and Remodeler. Green Building and Remodeling is the practice of efficiently using energy, water, building materials and other resources throughout a building’s life cycle. This includes the design, construction, operation, maintenance, remodeling and demolition phases. Green Building is further defined as reducing the effects of building on our health and environment by increasing air quality, reducing waste and pollution, and lessening impacts on the environment. Homes that incorporate Green Building practices are healthier to live in, last longer, require less maintenance, have lower utility costs, are environmentally friendly and have a much higher resale value. It is very important to understand the difference between certifiable Green Building products and practices and misleading product marketing referred to as “greenwashing”. Whether you are remodeling or building an entire home, AC Lynn Luxury Homes is qualified to educate and guide you in the appropriate selection and implementation of efficient Green Building practices and products.
A common misconception is that Green Building always translates to higher project costs. This is simply not the case when working with our company. In fact, many of the NAHB Green Building and Remodeling Certification requirements are standard practice for us. We implement many of these requirements in our work at no additional cost, whether the project is Green Certified or not. Many Green Building practices simply require using high quality components and applying sound building methods during construction such as careful home positioning, strong foundations, precise framing and appropriately sizing and installing the plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems. We are knowledgeable and skilled in the implementation of Green Building products and practices such as lot design, sustainable foundations, advanced framing, high performance insulation, sealed envelopes, high efficiency HVAC equipment, geothermal energy, clean air systems, water efficiency, sustainable building materials and homeowner education just to name a few. We offer feasibility studies, energy audits and cost/benefit analysis to determine if any of these practices are appropriate for your next project.
